    Genki Ala Wai Project

    July 27 from 9am
    Ala Wai Community Garden Park

    Please join OUTRIGGER Zone initiative volunteers as we toss 2,000 Genki Balls into the Ala Wai Canal – a manmade waterway that leads to the Pacific Ocean – where they will sink to the bottom and start digesting sludge, thus restoring a healthy balance of microorganisms in the ecosystem.

    Mālama ‘Āina Environmental Presentation (Kolea, the Pacific Golden Plover)

    Join Susan Scott, President of the Audubon Society, as she shares her knowledge about Kolea, the Pacific Golden Plover. Only in Hawaii do Kolea live in harmony with humans in backyards, parks, and urban spaces.
