Say Hello to Hawaii's only Craft Hotel
Steps from the sand and surf of Waikiki Beach is Hawaii’s first and only craft hotel, Waikiki Beachcomber. Discover larger-than-life art, local brews, and live music, all handcrafted in the heart of Waikiki by a carefully curated group of creative artisans, the Beachcomber Originals.
Where art meets aloha
This group of local tastemakers includes photographers, artists, and designers, each making their mark on the reimagined Waikiki Beachcomber. Every guest room features a life-sized print by prolific surf photographer Zak Noyle, aerial art by drone photographer Vince Lim, and Hawaiian-inspired textiles by celebrated printmaker Abigail Romanchak.
Half the fun is discovering each visual treat for yourself – but here are a few more highlights worth having your camera ready for:
• Print artist Margo Ray's 64-foot wall mural inside Maui Brewing Co., inspired by hula dancer Beverly Noa
• Intricate hanging rope art by Marques Marzan, also found throughout Maui Brewing Co.
• Hand-drawn Floors of Flora murals by Hawaii's "chalkboard queen" Erin Ibarra in the elevator areas of each floor
• The Terrace of Modern Art (TOMA), a rotating monthly art series at Hawaiian Aroma Caffe
Handcrafted brews
Something delicious is brewing here in Waikiki—at not one, but two, craft outposts. Hawaiian Aroma Caffe is the most-Instagrammed coffee shop in Hawaii, created by Beachcomber Original Jonathan Rotmensch. Surrounded by ‘gram-worthy decor, get a taste of locally-brewed Kona coffee, Italian-inspired paninis and pastries, or eclectic poolside cocktails.
Meanwhile, Maui Brewing Co. has something else on tap entirely. Owner Garrett Marrero, also a Beachcomber Original, is a founding father of Hawaii's craft beer scene. His industrial-chic space at Waikiki Beachcomber is home to artisanal, Hawaii-inspired eats and creative craft beers like local faves Barefoot Brew and Bikini Blonde Lager.
The sounds of Hawaii
Music is the final thread that ties everything together at Waikiki Beachcomber. In addition to weekly live music at Maui Brewing Co. the perfect, laidback vacation soundtrack welcomes every guest into the hotel's public spaces. “The New Sound of Waikiki” is a playlist of original, slack-guitar rhythms crafted specifically for the hotel by acclaimed musician and activist Makana.
With the help of some of Waikiki’s top artists and influencers, everything from the guest rooms to the drink menu is a work of art. Book your stay at Waikiki Beachcomber to make your next beach vacation truly inspired.
