    Experience authentic Hawaiian culture from our team of cultural practitioners. All classes are complimentary for our guests. Class sizes are limited so be sure to reserve your spot by signing up at the Kawenaokeao Cultural Center in the lobby. Walk-ins are welcomed and subject to availability.

    Restringing

    Return guests are invited to bring their lei kukui and receive a white kukui nut. Allow us to guide you through restringing your lei with this special addition, welcoming you back as an integral part of our ‘ohana (family).

    Dance of Hawai‘i

    More than a dance, hula tells the story of Hawaii's ancestral knowledge and history. Learn fundamental movements with insights into Hawaiian language and history expressed through the art of hula.

    Haleakalā

    Sunrise and sunset are the most popular times to view the panoramic vistas at Maui’s dormant volcanic crater. Haleakalā National Park is open year-round to visitors. Guided tours are available, and reservations are required for all sunrise visitors.

    Kauluhiwaolele Maui Fiber Arts Conference recognizes the multiple ways we utilize Hawaiian plant material. Leaves, bark, sedges and roots are just some of the fibers used to weave, twill, twine and knot into precious creations.
