5 Must Try Items at Dukes Waikiki - Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort Back to all stories

5 Favorite Dishes You Must Try at Duke’s Waikiki

Ask anyone where to eat in Honolulu and one name comes up a lot: Duke’s. Located at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort, hanging out at Duke’s is a rite of passage while in Waikiki—and the restaurant and barefoot bar made an appearance on our top things to do in Oahu list.

Locals and visitors alike come to Duke’s to admire the sweeping views of Diamond Head, listen to live music like local legend Henry Kapono, and of course, sample the popular Duke’s Waikiki menu. From crowd-pleasing pupu (hors d'oeuvres) to delicious tropical drinks, here’s what to try at Duke’s Waikiki.

    5. Duke’s Breakfast Buffet
Early mornings on Waikiki Beach are nothing short of magical. Whether you choose to paddle out with the other surfers or watch from the shore, stick around for breakfast at Duke’s. The epic breakfast buffet is one you’ll write home about, with your choice of made-to-order omelets, indulgent banana pancakes, fresh-brewed coffee, and more.

    4. Poke Tacos
Traditionally served in bowl form, poke (diced raw fish) is perhaps the most famous food in Hawaii. The Poke Tacos are one of our favorite dishes at Duke’s, with fresh raw ahi, avocado, wasabi aioli, and more served inside a crunchy taco. Get a few Poke Tacos for your table to share – or keep them all to yourself.

    3. Slow Roasted Prime Rib
Come hungry and come early to get the Slow Roasted Prime Rib while it lasts. One of the most popular items to try at Duke’s is in limited supply, but it's worth it. This gorgeous cut of the finest Double R Ranch Signature® beef pairs perfectly with Duke’s Famous Salad Bar, a bountiful selection of local veggies, fresh bread, and garden salads.

    2. Signature Mai Tai
Made with real Hawaiian juices and two types of rum, every sip of the Signature Mai Tai tastes like pure aloha in a glass. This cocktail is a classic, but the rest of the drinks menu at Duke’s offers plenty of spirited takes on tropical tastes. We can’t think of anything better than watching the Waikiki waves roll in with a crisp, cool cocktail in hand.

    1. Hula Pie
If there’s one thing you should not miss while in Waikiki, it’s a slice of Duke’s world-famous Hula Pie. Together with the unbeatable beachfront location, this epic dessert helped make Duke’s most-Instagrammed restaurant in Hawaii. Try to resist snapping a pic of this eye-popping slice of macadamia-nut ice cream, covered in fudge and whipped cream, then topped a sprinkling of crunchy macadamia nuts.

Duke’s Waikiki is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Reservations are encouraged. Book your stay at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort to enjoy one of the top Waikiki restaurants right at your doorstep.
