    4 Easy Oahu Hikes - A Photographer's Guide

If you're an avid Instagram user, you've likely seen the work of @VinceLimPhoto pop up in your feed at some point. His vivid, colorful and awe-inspiring photography has been featured in top publications including the cover of National Geographic Traveler Magazine, and most recently, his printed photography has been featured as key art in every single guest room at the Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger. Because of his creative nature and love for the islands, he's joined the Outrigger family as one of The Beachcomber Originals.

Lim, an Oahu-native and solid ambassador of aloha + adventure, is clearly no stranger to the outdoors, so we turned to him for a bit of local advice.

Check out Vincent Lim's guide to 4 beginner hikes (that are also Instagram-worthy) on the island of Oahu, Hawaii:

    1. Lanikai Pillbox
Located on the east side of Oahu, the hike to Lanikai Pillbox is a short 30 minutes to a breathtaking view, overlooking the Mokulua Islands and the white sand of Lanikai beach. It's a popular spot for many hikers for good reason.

VINCE'S TIP: My favorite time to go is at sunrise!

    2. Koko Head
The most rewarding hikes are the ones you have to work hard for. Koko Head hike is a vertical hike up a volcanic crater with an amazing view at the top.  From there, you'll be able to see 360 degree view of the area.

VINCE'S TIP: This one is worth the challenge - bring plenty of water!

    3. Manoa Falls

Tucked away in Manoa Valley, it's about a 30 minute hike on a paved road to this massive waterfall. People call this waterfall a tourist favorite, and there’s good reason for it. Even as a local lingering among the tourists, I still like to make visits to this spot.

VINCE'S TIP: I would come here in the early morning or in the afternoon to avoid a crowd.

    4. Lulumahu Falls
When I first began my journey with photography, Lulumahu Falls was one of my first hikes and is a waterfall you can’t miss. Located along the Pali Highway, this waterfall always has a nice flow and one that I would jump under to feel the fresh water.

VINCE'S TIP: Do some additional research before going - this one is not for the family.

Feeling inspired? Book your next Hawaiian adventure at the Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger and be at the heart of it all.

    Your next vacation awaits.
