Throwback Tropical Cocktail Recipes

Cheers! We recently celebrated our 70th birthday as a company, and we can’t thank you enough for all of the memories you’ve shared with us through the years. To rekindle the magic of vacations past, we’re saying “cheers,” and sharing some of the well-kept secrets to making two of our favorite throwback tropical cocktails!

THE 1947 MAI TAI (regular feature at the OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beach Resort)
• 1.5 oz. light rum

• 0.5 oz. dark rum
• 0.5 oz. creme de almond
• 0.5 oz. triple sec

• 1.5 oz. pineapple juice

• 1.5 oz. sweet and sour mix
• Equal parts pineapple juice with sweet and sour mix

• Top off with ice

THE GRASS SKIRT (regular feature at the OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort)
• 1 oz. dark rum
• 1 oz. coconut rum
• 1.5 oz pineapple juice
• 1.5 oz. orange juice
• 1.5 oz. melon liqueur float

• Blend with crushed ice
